It’s Halloween weekend on the Treasure Coast, so family-friendly holiday-themed events can be found across Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties — including costume contests, trick-or-treating, dance parties, movie nights and parades.

Indian River County

Family Movie Night & Halloween Costume Contest

  • 5-8:30 p.m. Friday
  • Riverview Park, 600 U.S. 1, Sebastian
  • The event includes a costume contest at 6:15 p.m. with prizes for five different age groups, watching “Hocus Pocus” at 7 p.m., pumpkin decorating, candy, music, entertainment, free popcorn and snow cones. Bring chairs and blankets for the movie.

IRC Trunk or Treat & Monster Mash Dance Party

  • 5-10 p.m. Friday
  • Intergenerational “iG” Center, 1590 Ninth St. S.W., Vero Beach
  • The event includes trunk-or-treating from 5-7 p.m., a DJ dance party in the gym from 6-8 p.m. and an afterparty for age 14-17 from 8:30-10 p.m. It has costume contests, games and food.

Fall Fun Fest

Carnival operator Doolan Amusements sets up for the Fall Fun Fest outside the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, now known as the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, in Port St. Lucie.

  • 5-10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, 1-6 p.m. Sunday
  • MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center, 9221 S.E. Event Center Place, Port St. Lucie
  • The three-day event is packed with live music, a carnival, food vendors and the annual “Street of Treats” trick-or-treating where kids to dress up in costumes and collect bags of Halloween candy from 4-6 p.m. Sunday.

Night of the Thirsty Dead Pub Crawl

  • 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday
  • Downtown Fort Pierce
  • The Halloween costume contest requires participants to check in at any of the participating businesses: Sailfish Brewing Company, 2nd Street Bistro, Cobb’s Landing, Bottom’s Up, Crabby’s Dockside and Pierced Cider. It awards $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place. It also includes live music, Halloween-inspired drinks and DJs. Ages 21 and older only.

Hobgoblins on Main Street

Scenes from the 22nd Annual Hobgoblins on Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, in downtown Stuart. The event featured a parade, painting of a patrol car, costume contest, trick or treating, and local vendors.

  • 1-4 p.m. Saturday
  • Downtown Stuart/Riverwalk Stage, 201 S.W. St. Lucie Ave.
  • The 23rd annual event includes merchant trick-or-treating, a DJ, live performances, food and beverage vendors, a costume contest, the “most spirited” storefront award, decorating a police car, pumpkin decorating, face painting and the parade at 3:30 p.m.
