Lazy Dog Donuts opened on Indian River Drive in downtown Jensen Beach Oct. 22.
Owner Lynn Rance retired from the insurance industry and thought it would be fun to open a cafe that would be a social hub for Martin County residents and visitors.
Lspanzy Dog Donuts serves handcrafted donuts and other baked goods, in addition to a full coffee bar featuring espresso, lattes, cappuccinos and more.
The doughnuts are the highlight of the restaurant, handmade fresh each morning, Rance said. Other menu items feature muffins, pies, cookies, brownies, banana bread and more.

The outdoor patio, with views of the Indian River Lagoon, also offers the perfect setting while enjoying a cup of coffee and a sweet treat, she added.
Rance hopes Lazy Dog Donuts will become the go-to spot for casual gatherings, where friends and family can come together, relax and socialize.
