Martin County baseball seniors Nick Robert and Jake Schincariol celebrated their signings to continue their baseball careers at the next level on Wednesday with both players staying in-state.

Robert will head south to Coral Gables to the University of Miami but could work his way into the conversation for the 2023 MLB Draft with a big spring in his final high school season.

Last year, Robert was a First Team All-Area selection after a fantastic season for the Tigers as a two-way threat. On the mound, Robert went 7-0 with a 1.71 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 45 innings and at the plate, he batted .448 with nine extra-base hits including two home runs and drove in 19 runs.

Schincariol will go north to play at Daytona State College after his spring season. The outfielder also had a strong season last year helping Martin County go 19-8 in 2021-22, batting .395 in 43 at-bats and drove in nine runs.
