It’s time to vote for the top football performance with Week 6’s Game Ball

In an abbreviated week, Week 6 for high school football on the Treasure Coast still produced a number of great performances.

Hurricane Ian pushed games scheduled last Friday to Monday for most teams as nine teams were in action across the area.

In Week 5, Fort Pierce Westwood’s Braylon Vincent and Javian Nonnombre were voted Game Ball winners for offense and defense/special teams.

Vincent ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns on offense and Nonnombre made five tackles, one that went for a loss, had two sacks, forced a fumble and recovered another while also throwing a touchdown pass in the Panthers’ 45-0 win over Glades Day.

With a chunk of teams off the field in Week 6, this week’s poll consists of overall performances. In Week 7, polls for offense and defense will return and will take place in its normal timeframe of Monday through Friday for voting.

This week’s poll is live at 3 p.m. Tuesday and will close at 3 p.m. Friday.

Vandrevius Jacobs, Vero Beach

Jacobs caught seven passes for 182 yards and racked up four touchdowns with the highlight an 89-yard catch and score in Vero Beach’s 47-7 win over Fort Pierce Central on Monday.

Isaiah Roberts, Centennial

Roberts accounted for the lone scoring plays for the Eagles Monday in their 14-13 victory over Martin County first taking the opening kickoff back 90 yards for a score and going 45 yards on an elusive run after the catch for another touchdown.

Braylon Vincent, Fort Pierce Westwood

Vincent again got most of the workload in the Panther backfield for the second straight week and produced another excellent game rushing for 187 yards and two touchdowns that both came in the first half of Fort Pierce Westwood’s 21-14 win over Okeechobee on Monday.

Dennis Palmer, Jr., Jensen Beach

Palmer ran another excellent all-around performance in Monday’s 28-0 win over Port St. Lucie as he caught a 30-yard touchdown and added a 10-yard rushing touchdown for the Falcons.
