The FHSAA released on Wednesday their latest batch of rankings with the football RPI and volleyball rankings.
It was the second week of rankings for football and while a number of teams didn’t move in the overall ranking much, a couple teams made notable leaps.
Vero Bespanch holds steady at No. 1 in Class 4S but did drop two spots to No. 11 overall in the state with their 6-0 record.

Jensen Beach rose 68 spots to No. 39 overall and are the sixth-ranked team in Class 3S with a 5-1 record.
John Carroll Catholic dropped 25 spots after their first loss of the year Monday to Cardinal Newman to No. 52 and are now third in Class 1S dropping two spots.
Another team that made a nice climb was Centennial, bumping up 72 spots to No. 91 overall and are No. 12 in Class 4S after their 14-13 win over Martin County on Monday improved the Eagles to 4-1.
Martin County at 4-2 is No. 107 and Fort Pierce Westwood with a 4-1 record is No. 133 and are the next highest-ranked area teams outside the state’s top 100.
On the court, Jensen Beach volleyball and their 19-0 record still leads the way and held steady at No. 4 overall in the state and first in Class 5A.
With all teams playing their final games before district tournament seeds are locked in this weekend, the Falcons all but have the top seed in District 13-5A locked up.
Fort Pierce Central continues to stay inside the state’s top 20 overall at No. 19 and is sixth in 7A with their 14-4 record.
The Cobras most importantly hold the top seed in District 7-7A by three spots over Jupiter and will go down to the wire to determine if they hold onto that spot.
South Fork is the only other team inside the state’s top 100 at No. 62 and the Bulldogs are 13th in 6A and have a shot at chasing down Viera for the top seed in District 8-6A with a strong week.
Vero Beach is No. 122 and ninth in Region 2-7A and Martin County is No. 128 and is eighth in Region 2-6A.
All of these teams plus Okeechobee will be taking part in the Swing for the Cure hosted by Bishop Moore High School on Friday and Saturday in one of the premier tournaments in Florida every fall.
