The Dolphins’ difficult three-game road swing just got tougher.
The NFL announced Monday that Miami’s game at Buffalo will be at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Besides the fact that the Dolphins always have a tough time with the Bills in New York, this assignment just got more challenging because of the timing.
The NFL had the option of scheduling the game Dec. 18 – in the afternoon.

The weather in Buffalo in mid-December is quite the opposite of what Miami experiences this time of the year – and it will be colder at night.
Miami will be flying across the country from its game against the Los Angeles Chargers on “Sunday Night Football” this weekend, so it already was operating on limited prep time compared to the Bills.
The Bills are home this Sunday vs. the New York Jets and therefore their practice time won’t be truncated by flights at either the beginning or end of the week.
The Bills (9-3) have a one-game lead over the Dolphins (8-4) in the AFC East. The Dolphins currently own a tiebreaker edge via their 21-19 victory over the Bills at Hard Rock Stadium in September. The game could decide the division championship.
