At the end of each season, TCPspanlm selects All-Area teams recognizing the top athletes in each sport.
Area coaches nominated players from their own teams and from other schools and along with research going through the data for games, meets, matches and tournaments throughout the regular season and postseason, TCPspanlm makes its selections of the All-Area teams.
Bowler of the Year
Nancy Roberts, Port St. Lucie
Year: Senior
Highlights: In her final high school season, Roberts was consistently the top bowler across the area with numerous games above 200 throughout the regular season. At the District 12 Championship, Roberts led the pack with a 628 three-game series to earn a trip to the state tournament and finished for 36th in qualifying at the FHSAA Championship bowling a 748 four-game series.
First Team
Emelia Koehler, Martin County
Year: Junior
Highlights: Koehler was the top bowler all season long for the Tigers with an average just over 175 for the season. She finished as the runner-up individually at the District 12 Tournament and at the FHSAA Championships bowled a 674 four-game series to finish 67th in individual qualifying.
Angeli Atayde, Vero Beach
Year: Sophomore
Highlights: Atayde was the leader for Vero during the regular season and in their run to winning the District 12 title She finished fourth as an individual at districts and bowled a 610 four-game series at the FHSAA Championships.
Giana Garofolo, Port St. Lucie
Year: Senior
Highlights: Garofolo wasn’t far off her teammate Roberts all season long posting numerous games at or around the 200-pin mark and at the District 12 Championship placed fifth with a 497 three-game series.
Melody LaDisa, Fort Pierce Westwood
Year: Senior
Highlights: Competing individually for the Panthers, LaDisa made the most of her time on the lanes and bowled a a 471 three-game series to place sixth at the District 12 Championship.
Lilianna Hill, Vero Beach
Year: Sophomore
Highlights: Hill was the second best bowler in the lineup helping Vero win the District 12 title for the first time in program history and bowled a 571 four-game series at the FHSAA Championships.
