The bluesign®-approved ripstop nylon shell has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to block wind and snow, while the Durastretch inserts at the sleeves make it ideal for rugged alpine use. Thermoregulating warmth: - To provide reliable warmth for colder conditions, the Sternai has a hybrid, bodymapped construction with a 60 g TirolWool® Responsive insulation fill. TirolWool® was developed together with the Tirol Mountain Rescue Service and is sourced from alpine farmers. Responsive, our proprietary thermo-regulating technology, uses synthetic yarns loaded with thermoreactive minerals to recycle far-infrared radiation (FIR) energy from the body and release it back over time, allowing you to remain comfortable for longer, perform better and recover faster. The Sternai is named after the mountain of the same name in the Ortler Alps on the border between South Tirol and Trentino, Italy. - A tailored Durastretch hood provides extra protection.
