Tonala Mexico Pottery Hand Painted Quail Figurine Folk Art Signed & Numbered

This Tonalá bird is a ceramic quail figurine from Mexico. These art pottery birds are from the Jalisco region of Mexico which is known for its fine quality clay. Tonala birds usually incorporate hand painted floral motifs. This one has a blue flower on its back that has a white center and sprigs of green, brown, and blue leaves. The bird has a pointed head giving it the Quail look. These Mexican ceramic figurines are classic folk art! Beautifully hand made and painted with love. Making this a one of a kind collection! Sold as pre-owned but in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. The Quail does have naturally occurring manufacturer's defect (dents) as shown in the pictures but does not take away from the beauty.
