Hurricane Ian postponed Oktoberfest in Vero Beach, but two other events are still on

Some Treasure Coast events that had been planned for this weekend have been canceled or postponed because of Hurricane Ian.

In Vero Beach, American Icon Brewery postponed its Oktoberfest celebration and five-year anniversary party.

However, two other Oktoberfest celebrations had not been canceled as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.

In Port St. Lucie, the free Oktoberfest at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center is still on for 5-10 p.m. Friday and 2-10 p.m. Saturday.

In Fort Pierce, the free Oktoberfest on Second Street Block Party downtown is still on for noon to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Treasure Coast events

The Fall Festival by CTM Customs at the Hobe Sound Farmer’s Market is still happening as planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The organizers of the fourth annual Stomp Out Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk at the Indian River State College Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie haven’t responded to TCPalm’s inquiry as to the status of the event.
