ST. LUCIE COUNTY − A 68-year-old St. Lucie County resident claimed a $1 million prize in the FLORIDA 300X THE CASH lottery scratch-off game, the Florida Lottery announced Monday.
Scott Petersen, of Jensen Beach, chose to get his winnings as a one-time payment of $695,500.
Although the Lottery announced the win Monday, the ticket was validated by Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee on Oct. 10, 2022, said Michelle McFatter, Florida Lottery spokesperson.

Beginning last May, the names of Lottery winners who claim prizes of $250,000 or more are temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days of the date the prize is claimed, unless the winner waives it, according to the Lottery.
