Brightline resumes 110 mph train testing in St. Lucie, Martin counties through Saturday

Drivers in St. Lucie and Martin counties should expect delays at some railroad crossings Wednesday through Saturday as Brightline continues to test trains throughout the Treasure Coast, according to a news release.

Trains will be traveling up to 110 mph along an 11-mile stretch from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. between Port St. Lucie and Jensen Beach.

Flaggers and law enforcement will be stationed at five affected crossings:

St. Lucie County

  • Walton Road
  • Riverview Drive

Martin County

  • County Line Road
  • Skyline Drive
  • Pitchford Landing

The full-speed tests are part of Brightline’s $2.7 billion extension of its service from West Palm Beach to Orlando, which is expected to be completed this year.
