PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie police Friday investigated after learning of messages on social media regarding a threat at Port St. Lucie High School.

Where: Port St. Lucie High School, 1201 S.E. Jaguar Lane. It is east of U.S. 1 and north of Southeast Walton Road.

What happened?: Port St. Lucie police were notified about 7 a.m. Friday about a message circulating on social media regarding a threat at Port St. Lucie High School. The school limited movement on campus, as police investigated the incident. Police by about 12 p.m. determined there was no credible threat.

What’s next?: No arrests were made, but detectives continue to investigate the source of the messages. Sgt. John Dellacroce, police spokesperson, encouraged people to notify law enforcement if they see or hear anything suspicious.
