ST. LUCIE COUNTY — A 23-year-old man was shot to death early today in a neighborhood in the greater Fort Pierce area, police said.

County resident Vincent Rashawn Green Jr. was fatally shot shortly after 6 a.m. near the 100 block of Hilton Drive, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies responded to the area after receiving a 911 call about gunfire.

Deputies said the incident appears to be isolated, and a suspect in the shooting has not been identified.
