Bring on the turkey and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving Day, but corduroy slacks and flannel shirts likely won’t be necessary.

The Treasure Coast weather forecast for Thursday does not appear to call for warmer clothes, the National Weather Service said Sunday.

“For Thanksgiving Day, looks like a mix of sun and clouds, just a slight chance for a shower and a high of right around 80 degrees,” said Tony Cristaldi, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

The day after Thanksgiving, he said, the forecast is similar to Thanksgiving — a combination of sun and clouds with a 30 percent chance of showers and highs in the upper 70s. 

On Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, which many people use for travel, Cristaldi said there’s about a 40 percent chance of rain for the Treasure Coast. High temperatures are in the upper 70s.

Temperatures should dip Friday night into the upper 50s and increase to about 75 for the highs on Saturday.

The Thanksgiving forecast, he said, is typical of years past, though possibly with elevated overnight temperatures.

“Generally speaking for the Treasure Coast, your average high temperature is about 79, 80 degrees, and your low is right around 60,” Cristaldi said. “At nighttime, a little warmer than what we’re normally seeing, but the daytime temperature is pretty much right where we should be for late November.”
