PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie police are asking for information about a crash Thursday morning in which investigators say a vehicle fled after striking a student as she walked to a bus stop, police stated.
The 16-year-old student wasn’t seriously hurt in the incident, which happened at 6:46 a.m.
Police stated the teen was struck by the side mirror of a white, early 2000s Toyota Camry as she walked to a bus stop in the 600 block of Southwest Lakehurst Drive.

The location is just east of Southwest Bayshore Boulevard between Prima Vista Boulevard and Crosstown Parkway.
The teen girl was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
