Florida’s restaurant owners are not required to post restaurant inspection results where guests can see them. So every few weeks, we provide that information for you.

Each inspection report is a “snapshot” of conditions present at the time of the inspection. On any given day, an establishment may have fewer or more violations than noted in its most recent inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions at the establishment.

In the last few weeks, 80 restaurants passed inspection at the first visit. Eight restaurants did not pass the first inspection at the first visit. Fourteen restaurants had zero violations.

Cited for 17 violations including: Bowl or other container with no handle used to dispense food; exterior door has a gap at the threshold that opens to the outside; hole in or other damage to wall; hood filters heavily soiled; no handwashing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees; wall not smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable in food preparation area; employee failed to wash hands before putting on gloves to initiate a task working with food; stop sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse; time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit;  commercially processed ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food opened and held more than 24 hours not properly date marked after opening; cutting board on cook line cooler soiled; microwave soiled;  establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment;  menu does not identify which items contain raw or undercooked animal foods covered by the consumer advisory; no proof of required state approved employee training provided for any employees; no proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses;  no soap provided at hand wash sink; and probe thermometer not accurate within plus or minus 2 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cited for 12 violations including: Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine/bin; cutting board has cut marks and is no longer cleanable; ice buildup in walk-in freezer and/or walk-in freezer; walk-in cooler/freezer shelves with rust that has pitted the surface; employee cracked raw shell eggs and then handled ready-to-eat food and/or clean equipment or utensils without washing hands; raw animal foods not properly separated from each other in holding unit based upon minimum required cooking temperature; time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit; establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment; no probe thermometer provided to measure temperature of food products; no proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses; proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees; raw/undercooked animal food offered and establishment has no written consumer advisory.

Cited for 10 violations including: Employee personal items stored in or above a food preparation area, food, clean equipment and utensils, or single-service items; employee with no hair restraint while engaging in food preparation; no hand washing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees; opened employee beverage container in a cold holding unit with food to be served to customers; degreaser stored with food;  ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food marked with a date that exceeds seven days after opening/preparation; can opener blade soiled; chemical test kit not used to ensure proper sanitization of equipment and utensils when using a chemical sanitizer; no proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses; and no written procedures available for use of time as a public health control to hold time/temperature control for safety food.

Roy’s Sushi Thspani spannd Grill, 1417 SW St. Lucie West Blvd., Port St. Lucie. Cited for 10 violations including: Bowl or other container with no handle used to dispense food; hole in or other damage to wall; in-use tongs stored on equipment door handle between uses; container of medicine improperly stored; raw animal food stored over or with unwashed produce; stop sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse; time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit; vacuum breaker missing at mop sink faucet or on fitting/splitter added to mop sink faucet; establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment;  and no proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses.

Tspanquerispan El Rey, 3427 SW Darwin Blvd., Port St. Lucie. Cited for nine violations including: Carbon dioxide/helium tanks not adequately secured; ceiling not smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable in food preparation, food storage, or ware washing areas;  drain cover(s) missing; floor area(s) covered with standing water; no handwashing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees; ripped/worn tin foil used as shelf cover; wall not smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable on front line by ice machine; required employee training expired for all employees; and water with a temperature of at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit not provided/shut off at employee hand wash sink.
