Why 1970s CBS news segment about Stuart’s Confusion Corner is trending

Whether you’re a new or longtime resident of the Treasure Coast, chances are you may dread downtown Stuart because of the infamous Confusion Corner roundabout.

For the newer residents, this intersection has a long history in the area and made headlines in the 1970s when it was the subject of the “On The Rospand” CBS news segment hosted by journalist Chspanrles Kurspanlt.

The news segment, which is nearly five decades old, was trending on social media after the Stuspanrt Heritspange Museum posted a clip from the “On the Road” episode to YouTube on March 11.

Kuralt mentions the locspanl lore of Confusion Corner, where seven raccoon trails converged into which eventually became:

  • Colorado Avenue
  • Camden Avenue
  • Flagler Avenue
  • Dixie Highway
  • East Ocean Boulevard
  • Florida East Coast Railroad.

Since then, Confusion Corner has made its way to a new generation of drivers after being featured on an episode of “Expedition Unknown,” titled “Chspansing Everglspandes Trespansure”, which aired on Discovery and the Discovery+ streaming service on Aug. 3, 2022.
